Your mission is to explore the wildflower field, collecting different flowers to lure endangered bee populations to your bee sanctuary. As the game unfolds, you'll need to employ a blend of memory and tactical decision-making to gather the right flower combinations, redeem bee cards, and use their special abilities to outsmart your opponents.

Meet the Bees

  • American Bumblebee

    The American Bumblebee is native to North America important pollinator of many crops and wildflowers. It nests underground in abandoned rodent burrows.

  • Dahlbom's Bee

    Dahlbom’s Bee is also known as the Patagonian bumblebee or the Flying Mouse. This bee is the largest bumblebee in South America!

  • Suckley's Cuckoo Bee

    A parasitic bee that it lays its eggs in the nests of other bees, and its larvae eat the food that the host bee has stored for its own young. Cuckoo bees can even mimic the host bee's pheromones to trick it into letting them into the nest.

  • Peacock Carpenter Bee

    The peacock bee is a solitary carpenter bee, meaning that it does not live in colonies. It nests in wood. The female peacock bee chews a tunnel into wood and then lays her eggs inside. She then seals the tunnel with a mixture of sawdust and saliva.

  • Leafcutter Bee

    This bee cuts circular or crescent- shaped pieces of leaves to create cell- like structures filled with pollen and nectar and sealed with another leaf. The bee then lays an egg in each cell.

  • Sweat Bee

    Sweat Bees are the largest family of bees, with over 4,500 species! They are attracted to sweat and other salty liquids. They are solitary bees, with each female raising her own young. They often nest in the ground or in rotting wood.

  • Valley Carpenter Bee

    This bee is the largest bee in California, with a wingspan of up to 2 inches. It nests in wood, creating tunnels with their powerful jaws They are solitary bees. The female bee is black and has a metallic sheen.

  • Great Yellow Bee

    This rare, large, bright yellow bumblebee was once widespread in the UK. They are social bees that are particularly attracted to red clover flowers.

  • Franklin's Bee

    Endangered bumblebee native to southern Oregon and northern California. They nest in rodent burrows or clumps of grass. They are short-tongued bees that rely on flowers with short corollas, such as lupines.

  • Red Headed Wool Carder

    This bee builds her nest in cavities, such as hollow reeds or abandoned snail shells. To line her nest, this bee collects wool and other soft fibers from plants and animals. The RHWC is a valuable source of propolis, a resinous substance that bees collect and use to seal their hives. Propolis is used in a variety of traditional and modern medicines.

As a Panda Ambassador for the World Wildlife Fund, Autumn has dedicated her free time to raising awareness about endangered species and their ecological importance. As a professional recipe developer, Autumn understands the impact of bees on our food systems. So, for her latest project she created two games Field of Bees and Field of Bees: Busy Bee, a mini dice game.

Beyond the familiar honey bee, Field of Bees features 10 endangered bee species and educates players about them and the flowers that attract them. As a game designer, she skillfully intertwines education and entertainment, ensuring players are not only captivated by the game's honey-sweet visuals but also engrossed in an immersive learning experience. By gamifying the educational process, Autumn hooks players and sparks their curiosity about the world of bees, inspiring them to take action.

Through her multifaceted approach, Autumn amplifies the urgent call to protect and conserve bees worldwide. Her unwavering dedication to environmental education shines in every pixel of her game.
